Emergency Road Service benefits

Battery Boost
If your battery runs down and your vehicle won't start, your battery will be boosted in an attempt to start your vehicle.

Battery Test or Replacement
Your battery will be tested to determine if the problem is battery related. Battery Service can, if necessary, install a new battery for you.

Lock-Out Service
If your keys are locked inside your vehicle, service will be sent to open it. If your keys are lost, broken or the service provider cannot open your vehicle, locksmith service (or reimbursement for locksmith service) will be provided up to:
  • $50.00 for Basic Members
  • $100.00 for Plus Members
Emergency Gas Delivery
A supply of gasoline will be delivered to your disabled vehicle to enable you to reach the nearest open service station. (Specific brands or octane cannot be promised.)
  • Basic Members will be charged the current pump price for the gasoline
  • Plus Members will receive the gasoline at no charge
Tire Service
If your vehicle's spare tire is inflated and serviceable, it will be installed to replace a flat tire. If no inflated spare is available, your vehicle will be towed according to your towing benefit.

Extrication/Winching Service
Your vehicle will be extricated/winched when it can be reached safely from a normally travelled road. If special equipment, additional manpower or additional vehicles are required:
  • Basic Members may be responsible for the associated costs
  • Plus Members are covered for an additional vehicle and operator for up to one hour at the scene
Emergency Mechanical First Aid
Minor mechanical adjustments not requiring parts or supplies can be made in an attempt to get your vehicle moving safely under its own power.

Personal Cheque Guarantee
Your personal cheque for up to $400.00 will be accepted by any independent contract facility providing emergency services or emergency repairs for Members. A valid membership card must be presented at the time of payment. The name on the cheque must match the Member name.

Your vehicle will be towed free of charge to a facility of your choice, up to:
  • 10 km free towing for Basic Members
  • 200 km free towing for Plus Members
  • Back to the service facility (if applicable) or
